Andreas Seppi VS Ivo Karlovic tennis predictions

In 16 years of professional career Seppi won three ATP titles out of which last two in 2012 when he won tournament in Belgrade and Moscow. Number of titles could have been bigger if Seppi had more luck in five ATP finals that he lost so far. The Italian currently occupies the 73rd place in the ATP list, and that is far from his best rating that he held in 2013 when he was World’s no. 18.

Before the Australian Open Seppi played in qualification of tournament in Doha where he lost in the second round to M. Basic. After that the Italian played Challenger tournament in Canberra, where he won the title after defeating M. Sucsovics in the final. In the second round of Australian Open Seppi needed a bit less than two hours to dispatch Y. Nishikoa 6-1, 6-3, 6-4. In accordance with the result it can be safely assumed that the statistic of the match is on the Italian side.
I. Karlovic

Karlovic’s rating had taken a considerable dip last season and before the Australian Open he occupies the 89th place in the ATP rank list. Fact that the Croat had his best rating in 2008 when he occupied the 14th place in the ATP list tells us how big Karlovic’s downfall is. Karlovic won eight ATP titles so far, out of which last two in 2016 which he won at tournaments in Los Cabos and Newport.

It is no secret that Karlovic fully depends on his 1st serve, and the Croat is record holder in number of aces that he hit in 18 years of professional career, even 12,302. Before the Australian Open Karlovic played at no preparatory tournaments and his best result from previous year was made at the tournament in s-Hertogenbosch where he played in the final and lost to G. Muller. Out of statistic from match with Y. Sigita we would single out ratio of aces that was expectedly on Karlovic’s side 53-16.

Andreas Seppi VS Ivo Karlovi. Tennis Picks

Out of three so far played head-to-head Karlovic won two. All three matches were fairly uncertain and we again expect something similar this time. By unwritten rule Karlovic’s matches take longer to finish than average and there is no reason why we wouldn’t see more than three sets this time.
