Try our tennis pick for today. Marketa Vondrousova vs Petra Martic, a very intersting match for online betting at WTA – SINGLES: Indian Wells (USA), hard.
Vondrousova and Martic met each other for the first time in their career at the start of this new season, in the first round of ASB Classic, Auckland. Vondrousova made that match close but lost to Martic in straight sets. Ten weeks later, they meet again in a completely different environment, with much higher stakes.

Marketa Vondrousova News

Marketa Vondrousova stormed into the round of 16 of the Indian Wells without dropping a set. Debuting at her career’s first Premier Mandatory, she defeated Madison Brengle, 11th seed Johanna Konta, and Aryna Sabalenka in straight sets.
The win over Konta is the 18-year-old’s second Top 20 win, the first one being against #18 Barbora Strycova in 2017 at Biel en route to her maiden WTA title. With one more win at the desert, Vondrousova will assure herself a debut in the Top 50 next week.
The teenager had her breakthrough in the 2017 season. At #233, she was the lowest-ranked title winner in 2017 and the youngest since Konjuh at 2015 Nottingham.
Vondrousova started the new season with the same tempo. However, like her slam debuts in 2017, she fell early in the second round of the Australian Open, against Caroline Garcia (lost the third set 6-8).

Petra Martic News

Petra Martic, whose best result at the Indian Wells was a second-round appearance back in 2010, finds herself one step away from the quarterfinal after upsetting the 25th seed Strycova and the reigning Roland Garros champion, Jelena Ostapenko.
Martic’s win over Ostapenko is the 27-year-old’s third Top 10 win, the last two of which came in 2012. It was also during the 2012 season that she registered her career high ranking of #42 and reached the only WTA final of her career, at Kuala Lumpur.
In the last twelve months, Petra Martic has reached the last 16 of Roland Garros, Wimbledon, and this year, the Australian Open. All these runs have come after her long injury break in 2016.
