Vesely vs Lacko Tennis Preview

Find our tennis tips and analysis on each Master, the Davis Cup and the four major tennis tournaments (Grand Slam tournaments): Roland Garros, the US Open, Wimbledon, and the Australian Open. Each pick offered is analysed carefully so that you have all the elements before wagering on the announced match or meetings.
This will be the first meeting between these two players. Though Lacko has got the ability to match many players on tour, he is not solid or consistent enough to produce results on a regular basis. Vesely should be able to win this comfortably if he plays anywhere close to his best level, but his current fitness trouble gives a fair chance to the Slovakian here.

Jiri Vesely News

Jiri Vesely, who has been struggling with fitness in the past few months, is currently on a four-match losing run, which includes three first-round exits at Buenos Aires, Rio De Janeiro, and Indian Wells, all being straight-set defeats. His W/L record in 2018 stands at 3/6.
Playing his first match at the Indian Wells since retiring in Rio de Janeiro (R1, Federico Delbonis), the Czech was comfortably dispatched by Nicolas Kicker in the first round (5-7 3-6).
Vesely enjoyed a successful career in the ITF and Challenger circuits by winning over 200 matches and 15 titles (ITF and Challenger) during the period between 2011 – 2015. He also won his maiden tour title at Auckland in 2015, but the constant fitness issues over the past two seasons did not allow the big-serving Czech to produce his best tennis on tour.
Jiri Vesely defeated Tommy Haas and Albert Ramos before losing to Jack Sock in the third round here at the Miami Open in 2017. It is also his best result in this tournament (four appearances).

Lukas Lacko News

Lukas Lacko ended his four-match losing streak by defeating Sebastian Fanselow (struggling for form) at Irving Challenger last week but lost the following match to Steve Johnson (R2).
The Slovakian is yet to win back to back matches despite playing 13 matches (5/8) so far in 2018. The last time he got a direct entry into the main draw of the Miami Open was in 2013, where he lost his first-round match to Ivan Dodig in three sets.

Vesely vs Lacko Prediction: Lukas Lacko to win the match
Odds: 2.08
