The Latvian competed in the US Open from 18th position on the world stage and until the beginning of the tournament she had a 30:16 result. In her career so far, she has won three WTA titles. One of these titles came from the current season, and she won the final match against P. Martic in Bucharest. Her best result at the former US Open came in 2016 and 2017, when she was in each quarter-final.
