Tennis Pick Preview

Bet on our tennis pick for today! Gael Monfils vs Matthew Ebden will meet today at ATP – SINGLES: Indian Wells (USA), hard.
These two players met once in the first round of the Australian Open in 2010 when Gael Monfils prevailed in straight sets (6-4 6-4 6-4). Gael Monfils is entering the Indian Wells after playing four consecutive events on the clay courts while Ebden’s transition will be much easier as all the six tournaments that he played in 2018 were on the hard courts.

Gael Monfils News

Gael Monfils’ good run in the clay swing ended with a disappointing second-round defeat (first round bye) at the hands of Horacio Zeballos in Sao Paulo last week. The Frenchman made two quarterfinals and one semifinal in the four clay court tournaments that he entered over the last 30 days or so.
The three set defeat against Zeballos last week (Sao Paulo) was the first time Monfils lost an opening round match in 2018. Earlier in the season, Gael Monfils ended his two-year title drought by lifting the trophy at Doha.
Monfils has appeared here nine times in the past and progressing to the quarterfinal once in 2016 is his best result in this tournament. He got a first-round bye last year and defeated two American players (King and Isner) before losing to Dominic Thiem in the round of 16.

Matthew Ebden News

Matthew Ebden failed in the qualifying stages of Indian Wells in 2017, but improved performances in the second half of 2017 season and improved ranking has earned him a direct entry into the main draw this time around.
Despite registering some good wins against the likes of Francis Tiafoe (Brisbane), Marin Cilic (Kooyong Classic), John Isner (Australian Open) and Sam Querrey (Acapulco), Matthew Ebden is yet to win back to back matches so far in 2018. He even lost his opening matches in two of the last three tournaments that he entered, at New York Open and Delray Beach.
