Dusan Lajovic vs Filip Horansky Tennis Prediction

Filip Horansky scored two dominant wins in the qualifying stages against Duck Hee Lee and Ergi Kirkin to book his main draw berth in Antalya at the first time of asking. He has never played a match on grass before this week (career w/l on grass- 2/0).
Exactly a week before the second grand slam of the season (French Open), the Slovakian made his main draw debut in an ATP World Tour event and registered three wins as a qualifier, including a stunning win over Joao Sousa before losing to Dusan Lajovic (next opponent) in the round of 16 at ATP Lyon.
With only a week to go for the third grand slam of the season (Wimbledon), world #302 Horansky once again made his way to the main draw of an ATP World Tour event and will face Dusan Lajovic yet again.
Filip Horansky, who won 65 matches in 2017, has already won 28 so far in 2018 (28/14), with most of those wins coming in the ITF pro circuits. He has also won 11 ITF titles so far in his career including four in 2017 (three on clay).
After making a terrible start to the season, Dusan Lajovic regained his form and posted excellent results during the clay season, such as a semifinal appearance at Lyon and quarterfinal at Madrid. Additionally, he won the title at Le Gosier Challenger (hard), which proved to be the turning point of his season.
Dusan Lajovic will play his first match since losing a hard-fought five-set match to Alexander Zverev in the second round of the French Open a few weeks back. This will also be his first match on grass since losing to Roger Federer in the second round of Wimbledon 2017.
Filip Horansky won their first meeting at Bundesliga (non-ATP event) in 2013, but Dusa Lajovic leveled the H2H with a straight-set win at Lyon last month. Dusan Lajovic’s very ordinary record on grass coupled with his lack of match time in these conditions should give a glimmer of hope for Filip Horansky heading into this contest.

Tennis Prediction: Dusan Lajovic 2-0
Odds: 1.50
