Benoit Paire vs Tomas Berdych Tennis Prediction

Benoit Paire made a good start to the grass season by fighting back from a set down against Taylor Fritz, who has already played four matches on grass this season (at Surbiton Challenger), 6-7 6-3 6-2.
In his previous five appearances at ATP Stuttgart, the Frenchman has gone 2/2 in the round of 16. Last year, Benoit Paire posted his career-best result on grass when he progressed to the semifinal here in Stuttgart, after defeating the likes of Troicki, Gojowczyk, and Janowicz.
The mercurial Frenchman made a surprisingly consistent start to the season by making consecutive semifinal appearances at Pune and Sydney and a quarterfinal appearance at Montpellier, but all the good work was undone by the recent poor performances. He will now be looking to make a fresh start by posting some good results on grass.
Third seed Tomas Berdych kickstarts his Stuttgart campaign on Thursday as he attempts to defend the quarterfinal points that he earned here in 2017. In his previous six appearances in this tournament, he has reached the quarterfinal twice (2005 and 2017) and semifinal once in 2006.
However, the former world #4 Tomas Berdych’s top priority must be ending his five-match losing streak. He is yet to win a match since defeating Yoshihito Nishioka in the opening round of the Miami Open in March 2018.
The Czech #1 has always done well on grass throughout his career, and he shouldn’t be asking for a better place to get back to the winning ways. His career-best result on this surface was finishing as the runner-up at Wimbledon 2010, where he defeated Roger Federer in the quarterfinal and Novak Djokovic in the semifinal.
Though Tomas Berdych leads the H2H 2-0 (French Open 2015 and ATP Tokyo 2012), his current form makes this an even contest.
