Marius Copil vs Steve Johnson Tennis Prediction

Marius Copil has entered four clay tournaments since the start of the European clay swing where he faced three first-round exits at Budapest, Munich and Madrid, and a QR1 exit from Rome.
The experienced Romanian played 16 matches on this surface in 2017 and could win just six of them, with the best result being two second-round appearances at Munich and Madrid.
Earlier this season, Marius Copil went ever so close to winning his maiden tour title but was stopped by Mirza Basic in the final of ATP Sofia, in February 2018.
Unlike Copil who is making his debut at Geneva this week, Steve Johnson has appeared here twice in the past and managed to reach the quarterfinal recently in 2017.
Steve Johnson entered three clay tournaments last season and posted good results in all three by winning the title in Houston, progressing to the quarterfinal at Geneva and third round at the French Open. He has made a similar start to the clay season this year by defending the title at Houston last month and will be hoping to defend his quarterfinal points at Geneva this week.
In the pair’s first-ever meeting, Steve Johnson is expected to the upper-hand over Marius Copil, who doesn’t prefer playing on the slower surfaces.
