Juan Martin Del Potro leveled the H2H (2-2) with that straight sets win at the Indian Wells earlier this month. Interestingly, all four matches between these two players have finished in straight sets. Both are capable of beating each other and expect Milos Raonic to put in a more competitive performance than what he managed two weeks back.

Juan Martin Del Potro NEWS

Juan Martin Del Potro sets up a rematch with Milos Raonic by dispatching Filip Krajinivoc in straight sets. The pair met in the semifinal of Indian Wells earlier this month where the Argentinian secured a straight sets win and went on to win the title.
The reigning Indian Wells Champion made a slow start to his round of 16 match and was trailing *1-4 at one stage. However, Del Potro then won nine consecutive games to take complete control of the contest, 6-4 6-2.
Del Potro, who was ranked #1042 in February 2016, is currently ranked at #6 and winning the Miami title will send him as high as #3 in the standings. He reached his career-high ranking of #4 in January 2010.
The 2009 US Open Champion, Juan Martin Del Potro, has entered Miami Open nine times in the past but only once he has managed to reach the quarterfinal (defeated Rafael Nadal in 2009).
Since returning from his brief injury break in 2017 (retired in Estoril and returned in Rome), Del Potro has won the title at Stockholm, finished as the runner-up at Basel, made the semifinal at Shanghai Masters and US Open, and the quarterfinal at Rome Masters and Paris Masters. He seems to have started the 2018 season in the similar form, having won the title at Acapulco and Indian Wells, and finishing as the runner-up at Auckland.

Milos Raonic NEWS

Like Juan Martin Del Potro, Milos Raonic was sitting comfortably at the top of ATP Standings (#3) until the injury (right calf, thigh, and leg) forced him out of action. Reaching the semifinal at the Indian Wells earlier this month was his best performance since making his return.
Milos Raonic lost both of his previous quarterfinal matches here at the Miami Open, against Nick Kyrgios in 2016 and Rafael Nadal in 2014.
It’s only a matter of time before Raonic get back to his best level. Lacking fitness and match time, the Canadian struggled to win back to back matches in the first three tournaments of the season and did not look convincing at the Indian Wells but he has produced better performances here in Miami, and he is yet to lose a set this fortnight (vs. Mikael Ymer, Diego Schwartzman, and Jeremy Chardy).
