Marton Fucsovics vs Philipp Kohlschreiber Tennis Prediction

Philipp Kohlschreiber made a disappointing start to the grass season as he lost out in straight sets to Denis Istomin in the first round of ATP Stuttgart last week (6-7 6-7), who was on an eight-match losing streak on tour coming into the match.
The straight set defeat against Denis Istomin was the experienced German’s third consecutive loss, having lost the previous two matches against Kei Nishikori in Rome and Borna Coric in the French Open. His w/l record in this season stands at 15/15.
Philipp Kohlschreiber will be making his 14th consecutive appearance at ATP Halle this week, and he has got an exceptional record in this tournament, having won the title once (2011), finished as the runner-up once (2008) and made the quarterfinal or semifinal on eight other occasions.
Only twice Kohlschreiber has faced the first-round exit from Halle in the previous 13 appearances, against Roger Federer in 2015 and Jarkko Nieminen in 2006.
Marton Fucsovics scored a comfortable win over Denis Kudla in the first round of ATP Stuttgart last week but fell cheaply to the eventual runner-up Milos Raonic in the second round, 2-6 4-6.
The Hungarian’s only previous appearance here at Halle came in the qualifying stages of 2010 edition where he lost his first match (QR1) to Jan Hernych in straight sets. In 2017 (career best grass season), he opted to enter the Challenger event at Ilkley during this period of the calendar and went onto lift the title.
This will be the first meeting between these two players. Though Fucsovics is enjoying his career-best season so far in 2018, Philipp Kohlschreiber is favored to win this first round match as he’s got massive experience at Halle and will also be desperate to register his first win on grass this season.
