Tennis Prediction

The tennis predictions on Tennis-picks.net offer profitable daily predictions and previews with in depth analysis for both WTA and ATP matches.
Gavrilova and Giorgi have met twice in the past, 2015 Eastbourne (Gavrilova won) and 2017 Cincinnati (Giorgi won). Both of these meetings have gone the distance, extended well beyond 120 minutes mark and involved a tiebreaker.

Daria Gavrilova Prediction

The 11th seed, Daria Gavrilova barely managed to scrape through against Ons Jabeur in the first round. The Tunisian took the first set 6-1, hit more winners (35 to 13), won more points (87 to 78), but Gavrilova outlasted her in an hour and 49 minutes contest.
Gavrilova has made two previous appearances at Charleston (2016 and 2017), and in both instances, she reached the third round and lost to someone who went onto win the title (Stephens and Kasatkina).
Although Gavrilova has managed to get into a couple of semifinals this season (Sydney and Acapulco), she is certainly under-performing this year. Out of nine wins in 2018, six are against players ranked outside the top 100 and only one against a top 50 (Stosur).

Camila Giorgi News

Camila Giorgi defeated #205 Soler-Espinosa in an hour and 7 minutes (6-1 6-4) to get her first main draw win since the Australian Open.
This is Giorgi’s first appearance at Charleston since 2013 (third overall) when she reached the second round and met the eventual champion, Serena Williams.
The Italian started the season with a semifinal at Sydney, where she knocked out Stephens, Kvitova, and Radwanska, all in straight sets, before heading into Kerber. Giorgi had to win six matches to reach that semifinal, in contrast, Gavrilova had to win just two.
