Tennis Prediction

The tennis predictions on Tennis-picks.net offer profitable daily predictions and previews with in depth analysis for both WTA and ATP matches.
Pliskova has never met Hsieh before. A loss to #61 Hsieh would give Pliskova her worst defeat since the 2017 Wimbledon (#87 Rybarikova). Hsieh has won her recent three matches against the Czech opponents (Krejcikova, Strycova, and Bouzkova), and ironically, her last defeat to a Czech came at Tashkent in 2017 to the other Pliskova twin, Kristyna.

Karolina Pliskova News

Karolina Pliskova registered her first win over Ekaterina Makarova in the first round of the Miami Open (7-5 7-5), despite trailing by a break in both the sets. Pliskova could not take a set off the Russian in their previous three meetings.
Pliskova’s season has been decent, but not remarkable, for the standard of a Top 10 player, with one semifinal (at Brisbane, where she was the defending champion) and three quarterfinals (Australian Open, Dubai and Indian Wells).
Last year, after advancing to the semifinals of the Indian Wells, she backed that run by reaching her first semifinal at Miami. However, the then world #2 Pliskova lost to the 12th seed Caroline Wozniacki after leading the match by a set.
Pliskova finished 2017 with the career-best year-end ranking of #4, and qualified for Singapore once again. However, the winner of three titles in 2017 came short during later stages of major tournaments (no final at Slams or Premier Mandatory).

Su-Wei Hsieh News

Su-Wei Hsieh trailed the second round match against Sorana Cirstea by 2-5 but won the next eight games to turn the tide in her favor. It was her second win over the Romanian in the last twelve months (Eastbourne qualifyings).
Earlier in the week, she defeated the 21-year-old British qualifier, Katie Boulter to win her first Miami main draw match since 2013.
Last fortnight, Hsieh won her first-ever Indian Wells main draw match after her first round opponent, Carina Witthoeft retired in the first set due to dizziness. She later fell to Suarez Navarro in a three-setter.
At Melbourne, Hsieh advanced to her first slam fourth round in ten years (the previous one came in 2008 Australian Open) after defeating Muguruza (career first Top 5 win) and Radwanska in straight sets.
