Marton Fucsovics vs Peter Gojowczyk Tennis Prediction

Peter Gojowczyk scored a dominant straight set win when they met once in the qualifying rounds of the US Open 2015 (6-2 6-0), and he is once again expected to have the upper hand against Marton Fucsovics.

Peter Gojowczyk News

Peter Gojowczyk scored one of the biggest wins of his career by defeating Fabio Fognini in the semifinal of ATP Geneva on Friday, 6-4 6-4. It’s been an impressive week for German so far, having defeated the four experienced opponents, Andreas Seppi, Ivo Karlovic, David Ferrer and Fabio Foginini.
While Gojowczyk could not win a main draw match in a clay tour-level event until last week (Rome Masters), the four opponents that he has defeated in Geneva this week has won a combined 21 tour titles on clay between them.
Peter Gojowczyk has played a lot of club matches in Geneva and feels comfortable here, “I feel well here in Geneva. Normally clay isn’t my best surface; I usually prefer hard court and grass. But here it is quite quick, and that helps my aggressive game.”
The 28-year-old Gojowczyk has made two finals in the ATP World Tour events so far in his career (both in ATP 250 series), lost to Francis Tiafoe in Delray Beach 2018 and defeated Benoit Paire in Metz 2017 (as a qualifier).

Marton Fucsovics News

Former junior Wimbledon champion, Marton Fucsovics, fought back from a set and break down against the 2018 ATP Houston champion, Steve Johnson, to advance into the finals of an ATP World Tour event for the first time in his career, 2-6 6-4 6-1.
The 26-year-old Hungarian could make history by winning the title on Saturday. The last player to win a tour title from his country was Taroczy at Hilversum in 1982. In fact, the last Hungarian to reach the finals on a tour event was Balazs Taroczy in Indianapolis 1984.
Tour events in the week before grand slams always produce some kind of surprises, and it has given us the first and third-time finalists at Geneva this week. Though the seeds have failed early, both these players have done their part and done it well to earn themselves a rare and excellent opportunity to win the title on tour.
