Daniil Medvedev vs Fernando Verdasco Tennis Prediction

Daniil Medvedev endured a tough time on clay as he could win only one match in two months (1/5) but made a great start to the grass season by dispatching the Indian #1 Yuki Bhambri in straight sets, 6-4 6-1.
The talented Russian is defending his quarterfinal points at Hertogenbosch this week. Entering as a qualifier in 2017, he defeated the likes of Robin Haase and Thanasi Kokkinakis before losing to Ivo Karlovic in the semifinal while in 2016, he lost to a left-handed opponent (Adrian Mannarino) in the round of 16.
The 2018 ATP Sydney Champion has done exceptionally well on grass so far in his career. Medvedev played his first match on grass in 2016 and posted an impressive 9/3. He then followed it up by registering ten wins and four losses in 2017 (10/4).
Fernando Verdasco produced three solid performances in Paris last fortnight as he progressed to the round of 16 where he lost to the former world #1 Novak Djokovic in straight sets. It was his best grand slam performance since reaching the quarterfinal at Wimbledon in 2013 (R16 at the French Open in 2017 and 2016).
The Spaniard has appeared here four times in the past and managed to win at least one match on all four occasions, with the best result being two quarterfinal appearances in 2004 and 2014. However, he could win only one match on grass in 2017 (1/3) and will be hoping to do better this time around.
These two players met once in the round of 16 at Montpellier in 2017 when the-then ranked #63 Daniil Medvedev stunned Fernando Verdasco in straight sets. The Spaniard has got the experience on his side, but the Russian is a solid player on grass and has already played a match in these conditions which makes him the slight favorite in this contest.
