The New Miami Tournament

In the year, Simona Halep will evolve to Miami on a new arena, with nearly 15,000 people in the arena. Hard Rock Stadium belongs to the Miami Dolphins American football team and hosts concerts and competitions from six sports, other than tennis.

Hard Rock Stadium will become the new home for the Miami tournament. Gather more than 60,000 spectators at American football and football matches.

This year will be the last of 33 in which the competition took place in the complex in Crandon Park. For Simona Halep, the last appearance on the main arena was in the match that brought her elimination, with Agnieszka Radwanska.

Two of the greatest rivals in tennis were born in Miami. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had their first meeting here in 2004 when the Spaniard was imposed. The Swiss took revenge last year, even in the final.

In girls, Williams sisters played the first match directly in the WTA circuit 19 years ago. Venus won in front of Serena.

“There is not a lot of people to play tennis at a football stadium built for over 60,000,” declared EXCLUSIVITY for WTA Florida tournament director James Blake, former ATP number four.

“The equipment will be world-class for the players. I think they can be very excited,” Blake said.
