Robin Haase vs Bernard Tomic Tennis Prediction

Robin Haase outlasted the 2017 Hertogenbosch runner-up Ivo Karlovic in the first round match that lasted nearly two hours, 7-6 6-7 6-3. The Dutchman served 15 aces and won over 92% of his first serve points during the win.
With the win against Ivo Karlovic, Robin Haase avoided a third consecutive first-round exit from ATP Hertogenbosch (home event). His best result in this tournament was reaching the semifinal once in 2015, and that was the only time he managed to win the round of 16 match here, in four attempts (1/3).
Bernard Tomic, who won three qualifying matches only to lose his first-round match to a lucky loser in the French Open last fortnight, took a similar route into the main draw of ATP Hertogenbosch this week but did well to cross the first round hurdle as he dispatched the lucky loser Kevin King in straight sets, 6-4 6-2.
Making his Hertogenbosch debut in 2016 as the second seed, Bernard Tomic got a first-round bye and managed to reach the quarterfinal. Since then, he has posted two more quarterfinals on grass, in Queen’s club 2016 (SF) and Eastbourne 2017 (QF).
This is already the former world #17 Bernard Tomic’s best result on tour this season as his previous such appearances ended in the qualifying stages of the Australian Open and first round of ATP Istanbul.
These two players met once in the round of 16 at Bucharest (Clay) two years back when Robin Haase scored a hard-fought three-set win. Bernard Tomic is probably the talented player of these two but playing at home levels up the field a bit for Robin Haase. That said, this round of 16 match is a coin flip that could go either way.
