Robin Haase vs Ivo Karlovic Tennis Prediction

Ivo Karlovic made an excellent start to the clay season by reaching the semifinal at ATP Houston but failed to build on it in the following tournaments and eventually finished the clay season with four straight losses.
Similarly, the big-serving Croatian made a good start to the 2018 season by progressing to the third round of the Australian Open but was going through a three-match losing run (first round exit at Delray Beach, Indian Wells, and Miami) before the clay season started.
Ivo Karlovic probably can’t win to kickstart his grass season, where he’s got the better chance to bag some wins. He is, in fact, one of the few players to have registered over 100 wins on this surface (101/52).
Karlovic has appeared here four times in the past and managed to progressively improve his result during every visits, first round in 2014, quarterfinal in 2015, semifinal in 2016 and final in 2017.
Except in 2009 and 2014, Robin Haase has entered ATP Hertogenbosch (home event) every year since 2004 and reaching the semifinal once in 2015 is his best result in this tournament. However, he lost his first-round match in the previous two editions, against Gilles Muller in 2016 and Daniil Medvedev in 2017.
Apart from making the quarterfinals at Pune and Rotterdam, and semifinals at Auckland, Robin Haase has failed early in the other 12 tournaments that he entered so far in 2018, including a first-round exit from the French Open.
Robin Haase leads the H2H 2-0 with one of those wins coming here at ATP Hertogenbosch in 2015 (QF). Irrespective of the H2H, Ivo Karlovic will start as the favorite as he is a tough nut to crack in these conditions.
