Tamara Korpatsch vs Camila Giorgi Tennis Prediction

Giorgi will walk onto the court as a clear favorite for the pair’s first meeting. The Italian has found her footing on clay after defeating Pliskova and Gavrilova last month. The German will have nothing to lose since her presence in the second round is a bonus.

Camila Giorgi News

Camila Giorgi, playing her third clay tournament of the season at Prague, has now registered first-round wins in all of them. On Tuesday, she took on fifth seed Barbora Strycova (who was on a five-match losing run) and prevailed in three sets (6-0 2-6 6-2).
The Italian is one win away from recording her third consecutive quarterfinal at J&T Banka Prague Open. Last year, she defeated the top-seed Karoline Pliskova (7-6 6-2) in the first round, to whom she had lost the 2016 quarterfinal.
Giorgi, who shut her 2017 season after the US Open due to right elbow injury, started the 2018 season with a semifinal run at Sydney International, as a qualifier. She would defeat Kvitova, Radwanska, and Stephens, before losing to the eventual champion Kerber.

Tamara Korpatsch News

Tamara Korpatsch needed an hour and 36 minutes to dispatch Oceane Dodin in straight sets (6-2 7-5) to enter the second round of Prague. Doing so, she has avoided a second consecutive qualifying exit from this tournament.
Korpatsch, who won her first tour-level main draw match just over a year ago at Budapest (def. Rodina), has reached two clay International quarterfinals since then, 2017 Gstaad and, more recently, 2018 Lugano (def. #19 Mladenovic, the biggest win of her career).
