Tennis Pick Preview

An intersting game for online betting is played today between Tomas Berdych and Karen Khachanov in the ATP – SINGLES semifinals: Marseille (France), hard.

Karen Khachanov News

The prolonged fist pump and celebration at the end of the match showed how much Karen Khachanov wanted the quarterfinal win against Julien Benneteau. Since recovering from the early break of serve, the Russian completely dominated the Frenchman to register his third straight-set win of the week.
The 21-year-old Russian has already made two semifinal appearances on tour, lost to Roger Federer at ATP Halle in 2017 and defeated Viktor Troicki at ATP Chengdu in 2016.
Since losing to Roger Federer at ATP Halle, Karen Khachanov went through a rough patch on tour losing 12 of his next 20 matches, including first-round exits in five tournaments, which led to him finish the season with a minus W/L ratio (29/32).
Considering his end to 2017 (12/9) and start to 2018 (6/6, excluding ATP Marseille), the Russian really needed this semifinal run to boost his confidence.

Tomas Berdych Tennis Pick

Tomas Berdych, who pulled out of his quarterfinal match at ATP Rotterdam last week (illness), made a shaky start at Marseille with a three-set win against Stefano Travaglia.
Once again he was in all sorts of trouble during his quarterfinal match against Damir Dzumhur (served for the first set at 5-4 before retiring at 6-7).
The Czech #1 has made the semifinals at Marseille twice in the past with his only win coming against a Russian opponent in 2013 when he defeated Dmitry Tursunov in straight sets.

Tennis Pick 70%

These two players met once in the second round of the French Open in 2017 when the young Russian upsets the former World #4 in straight sets. However, 2017 was Tomas Berdych’s worst season since 2005, and Karen Khachanov won’t be having another easy ride against the Czech.
