Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Dominic Thiem Tennis Prediction

Stefanos Tsitsipas registered his first-ever main draw win in a grand slam by winning a closely fought four-set match against Carlos Taberner in the first round of French Open 2018, 7-5 6-7 6-4 6-3.
This is a vital win for the Greek teenager considering he lost his previous grand slam first round matches to Lukas Lacko in the Australian Open 2018 and Ivo Karlovic in French Open 2017.
Former Junior Wimbledon doubles Champion, Stefanos Tstisipas, deserves a good run in Paris this fortnight considering he’s had a hugely successful clay season so far in 2018, having finished as the runner-up at Barcelona and progressed to the semifinal at Estoril.
Dominic Thiem, the third favorite to lift the French Open 2018 title (behind Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev), kickstarted his fifth consecutive French Open campaign with a routine straight set win over Ilya Ivashka, 6-2 6-4 6-1.
The Austrian #1 is currently on a five-match winning run, which includes his title-winning run at ATP Lyon last week. It was his second title of the season (both on clay and in ATP 250 events) having won ATP Buenos Aires in February 2018.
In his previous four appearances in Paris, Thiem lost the second round match twice in 2014, 2015 and went on to reach the semifinal in 2016, 2017.
These two players have met thrice in the opening five months of the 2018 season with Thiem winning two of them. However, Tsitsipas has improved his performance in every match as he lost the first encounter in straight sets (Doha), took a set off Thiem in their second match at Indian Wells and won the third match on clay in straight sets (Barcelona).
Though Thiem is the second best clay courter on tour at the moment (only behind Nadal), Tsitsipas has got the form and ability to make it a tough evening for the world #8.
