Kei Nishikori vs Andreas Seppi Tennis Prediction

Seppi won their previous two meetings on the grass courts while Nishikori won the other two on the outdoor and indoor hard courts (H2H 2-2). Both players have managed to win the alternative meetings with the recent meeting going in Seppi’s way, at Halle 2015. Irrespective of the recent fitness struggles, Kei Nishikori should still have the upper hand against Andreas Seppi.

Kei Nishikori News

Kei Nishikori put in a clean and flawless performance to knock out the talented Russian, Daniil Medvedev, in straight sets, 7-5 6-2. Earlier this week, Nishikori fought back from a set down to beat Tomas Berdych to register the biggest win of his season (in terms of ranking).
Nishikori’s only previous appearance at the Monte Carlo Masters ended in the round of 16 with a three-set defeat against Tomas Berdych in 2012.
The former World #4 has entered five tournaments so far in 2018 (excluding Monte Carlo) and managed to reach at least the semifinal whenever he cleared the second round hurdle, at Dallas Challenger (W) and New York Open (SF).
Nishikori played five round of 16 matches at clay tournaments in 2017 and ended up winning four of them, with the only defeat coming against Juan Martin Del Potro in the Rome Masters.

Andreas Seppi News

Andreas Seppi defeated Guillermo Garcia Lopez on Wednesday to register his fourth win of the week, including his two wins over Alex De Minaur and Marcel Granollers Pujol in the qualifying stages.
The Italian entered Monte Carlo on the back of three straight defeats (Rotterdam, Davis Cup, and Marrakech) but he has now equaled his best Monte Carlo result with this round of 16 appearance. He made the round of 16 here in 2014 but lost to Rafael Nadal in straight sets, after defeating a Spanish opponent, Pablo Andujar, in the second round.
Seppi, who finished the previous two seasons with a minus W/L ratio (23/27 and 28/29), has recorded an impressive 18 match-wins so far in 2018 (18/8), which also includes a title at Canberra Challenger, semifinal at Rotterdam and round of 16 at the Australian Open.
