Tennis Pick Today

A good match for sure betting today is our tennis pick!
This will be the first main draw meeting between these two players. They met once in the qualifying round of Hobart in 2016 when Bertens secured a comfortable straight sets win, 7-5 6-1

Kiki Bertens News

Kiki Bertens, the reigning champion of two WTA clay tournaments (Nuremberg and Gstaad), will begin her clay season from Charleston. She has reached five WTA finals so far in her career (won four of them), all of them being clay tournaments.
This will be Bertens’ third appearance at the tournament. In 2014, she reached the second round as a qualifier (retired to Errani), and in 2017, she reached the third round as a seed (lost to Lucic-Baroni). Seeded #12 this week, she is the only Dutch player in the draw.
Bertens is 4-7 so far in 2018. Although, four of her seven defeats have come against the likes of Muguruza, Wozniacki, Serena and Venus Williams.

Veronica Cepede News

Veronica Cepede Royg has gone blank in March as, after losing the Acapulco quarterfinal (to Gavrilova), she suffered first-round exits from Indian Wells and Miami, losing to Mona Barthel and Oceane Dodin, respectively.
This will be the Paraguayan’s second main draw appearance at Charleston (third overall). However, unlike last year (entered the qualifying draw), she has got a direct entry into the main draw this time.
Most of Cepede Royg’s success has come on clay as well. She has reached 21 clay ITF finals and won 12 of them (only two hard-court titles). Last year, she registered her first-ever slam main draw win at the French Open and reached as far as the fourth round.
