Lukas Lacko vs Denis Kudla Tennis Prediction

Lukas Lacko scored two solid straight-set wins over Ivo Karlovic (7-6 7-6) and Yannick Maden (6-2 6-3) to book his main draw berth at Halle for the sixth time in his career.
In his previous five appearances at ATP Halle, reaching the quarterfinal once in 2010 is the Slovakian’s best result in this tournament. However, he will now be looking to avoid his third consecutive first-round exit from Halle, having lost his recent R1 matches to Mischa Zverev in 2017 and Alejandro Falla in 2015.
The win against Yannick Maden and Ivo Karlovic in Halle this week is the first time Lukas Lacko has managed to win back-to-back matches in a tour-level event this season. His best result of the year came at the Glasgow Challenger last month where he defeated the likes of David Guez, Joris De Loore and Luca Vanni to lift the title.
Denis Kudla defeated Guido Pella and Nikoloz Basilashvili in the qualifying stages to progress into the main draw of ATP Halle for the second time in his career. Making his debut here in 2016 (direct entrant), he lost his first-round match to Sergiy Stakhovsky in three sets.
The American won two qualifying matches and entered the main draw of ATP Stuttgart last week only to lose to Marton Fucsovics in the first round. He will now be hoping to avoid a similar fate when he takes on Lukas Lacko this Monday.
Denis Kudla is one of the very few players to have registered over 30 wins in the first six months of the season (32/16), thanks to his fine results in the Challenger circuits, such as winning the title in Drummondville Challenger, finishing as the runner-up at Le Gosier Challenger, a semifinal appearance at Dallas Challenger and a quarterfinal appearance at Surbiton Challenger (grass).
Denis Kudla gained a 3-2 lead in the H2H by winning their recent meeting in the second round of Surbiton Challenger two weeks back. Both these qualifiers would probably be satisfied with the first round draw and will see this as an excellent opportunity to register a rare main draw win at this level.
