Nicolas Jarry vs Mischa Zverev Tennis Prediction

The world #66 Nicolas Jarry will play his first grass-court match of the season when he takes on Mischa Zverev this Tuesday. This will also be his first match since suffering a tough and disappointing five-set defeat against Jared Donaldson in the first round of the French Open last month.
Nicolas Jarry, who made his grass debut in 2015, registered his first win on grass only in 2017. Overall, he played five matches on this surface in 2017 and managed to win three of them, with all those three wins coming in the Wimbledon qualifying stages.
Nevertheless, the Chilean is enjoying his career-best season in 2018 having made his maiden quarterfinals at Quito, maiden semifinals at Rio de Janeiro and maiden finals at Sao Paulo. That said, apart from reaching the quarterfinal at Estoril, he did not have much success in Europe this season.
Mischa Zverev started his grass season with a 7-6 6-3 win over Mikhail Youzhny in the first round of ATP Stuttgart but suffered a first-round defeat in Halle, at the hands of Karen Khachanov in exactly the same scoreline, 6-7 3-6. In between these two matches, he put in a confidence-boosting performance against Roger Federer, 6-3 4-6 2-6.
In 2017, the veteran German played 11 matches on this surface and managed to win seven of them, including a round of 16 appearance here at ATP Eastbourne. More importantly, he crossed the first round hurdle in all the four grass tournaments that he entered last season (Stuttgart, Halle, Eastbourne and Wimbledon).
Partnering with his brother Alexander Zverev, Mischa Zverev finished as the runner-up in the doubles discipline at ATP Halle last week. Prior to that, he progressed to the semifinal of ATP Stuttgart, playing alongside Marton Fucsovics.
In the pair’s first-ever meeting, Mischa Zverev will start as the favorite as he has got massive experience on grass compared to Nicolas Jarry, who has played only eight matches on grass in his entire career (Mischa Zverev- 48/40).
