Novak Djokovic vs Grigor Dimitrov Tennis Prediction

Novak Djokovic, who was talking about the possibility of skipping the grass tournaments after suffering a shock defeat against Marco Cecchinato in the French Open, made a flying start to his grass season with a straight-set win over John Millman, 6-2 6-1.
This is Novak Djokovic’s first appearance in ATP London since losing to Xavier Malisse in the round of 16 of 2010 edition. He has appeared here four times in the past, but only once he could progress beyond the round of 16.
The former world #1 hasn’t got a natural game for this surface but has managed to improve it and posted excellent results in the recent past, including winning the Wimbledon on three occasions. His best result in this tournament was finishing as the runner-up once in 2010 (lost to Rafael Nadal).
Grigor Dimitrov had to work hard for two hours and three minutes to edge past Damir Dzumhur in a closely fought first round encounter, 6-3 6-7 6-3.
The Bulgarian #1, who is defending his semifinal points at ATP London this week, has got a terrific record in this tournament. In his previous nine appearances, he won the title once in 2014 and made the semifinal twice in 2017 and 2012.
Grigor Dimitrov has done reasonably well on grass throughout his career (40/27) with the semifinal appearance in Wimbledon 2014 being his best result on this surface, along with the title-winning run at ATP London in the same year (2014).
Novak Djokovic has dominated this matchup in the past including winning their previous two meetings on grass, in Wimbledon 2014 and Boodles Challenge (exhibition) 2013. However, given the circumstances, this is Grigor Dimitrov’s best chance of scoring a rare win against the former world #1 Novak Djokovic.
