Roger Federer vs Benoit Paire Tennis Prediction

Roger Federer scored a routine straight set win over Aljaz Bedene, 6-3 6-4, to kickstart his title-defense campaign at ATP Halle. He is currently on a five-match winning streak which includes the title-winning run at ATP Stuttgart last week.
The Swiss and World #1 Roger Federer made his ATP Halle debut in 2000 and has appeared here 15 times. ATP Halle is Roger Federer’s most successful tournament having won this title nine times and finished as the runner-up on two occasions.
Roger Federer has lost only two matches so far in 2018 with both those defeats coming in back-to-back matches against Juan Martin Del Potro in Indian Wells and Thanasi Kokkinakis in Miami. During this impressive run, he lifted the title at the Hopman Cup, Australian Open, Rotterdam, and Stuttgart.
The 20-time grand slam champion’s earliest exit from this tournament was losing his quarterfinal matches in 2000 and 2001. Since then, he has made at least the semifinal of ATP Halle during every visit (13).
Benoit Paire registered his first main draw win in ATP Halle (four appearances) by defeating Steve Johnson, 7-5 7-6, in the first round earlier this week.
The mercurial Frenchman, who lost the second round matches in his recent two tournaments (French Open and Stuttgart), will have to do extremely well to avoid a hat-trick of second-round defeats as he takes on the top seed and world #1 Roger Federer this Thursday.
Apart from reaching the semifinal of ATP Stuttgart in 2017 and ATP Hertogenbosch in 2012, Benoit Paire has never managed to win back-to-back matches in a non-slam grass tour-level event.
Roger Federer leads the H2H 5-0, and he is once again expected to get the better of Benoit Paire as they meet for the first time on grass.

Tennis Prediction: Roger Federer 2-0 SET
Odds: 1.35
