Simona Halep (28 years, 2 WTA) continues to change her name in tennis history.
The Romanian sportswoman achieved an incredible new performance: she spent more than 200 weeks in the top 3 WTA.

The Americans wrote about Halep as “the best tennis player today” and recall that Simona spent 64 weeks as a WTA leader.
From this point of view, Simona is in the 10th position in history, and the ones from The Delite write that “we feel that she will add weeks to this number”.

Simona started off the year well, winning the Dubai tournament at the end of February. Unfortunately, the coronavirus has stopped sports competitions for the time being, so Simona will not be able to add other trophies in the record during this period.

🎾Serena Williams, the best in history

Serena Williams (38, 9 WTA) is seen as the best tennis player in history.
His 23 Grand Slam titles and 4 gold medals at the Olympic Games, in the “most competitive era of tennis”, make the American to take first place in the top.
Serena recently announced that she has been in self-isolation for 6 weeks because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Serena’s sister, Venus Williams (39) is also in this top, ranked 8th.
Between 2000-2008, Serena’s older sister managed to win 7 Grand Slam trophies, 5 of them at Wimbledon.

🎾Maria Sharapova and Kim Clijsters, over Halep

Freshly retired from tennis, Russian Maria Sharapova (32 years) is seen as the 16th best tennis player in history, thanks to the 5 Grand Slam tournaments won.
Russia’s career is all the more impressive as she ranks 3rd in the top ten in tennis, after Williams sisters!

Kim Clijsters (36), who recently returned from a long break, is in a position higher than Sharapova, after the 41 tournaments won in her career.
Of these, 4 wins were at the Grand Slam tournaments.
