Sloane Stephens vs Magdalena Frech Tennis Prediction

Sloane Stephens had to stay on the court for just 49 minutes to claim a first-round win over Arantxa Rus with the scoreline of 6-2 6-0. It was a complete wipe-out from the American, who won more than twice as many points as Rus and faced no break point.
The reigning US Open champion has a perfect record of 5-0 in French Open second round matches (10-0 in terms of sets). However, it remains the only slam where Stephens has not been to a quarterfinal, losing in the round of 16 four times (2012-15).
The tenth seed entered the clay season with a Premier Mandatory title at Miami, but did not post a deep run at any of the four clay tournaments she played this year. At Madrid and Rome, she lost in the round of 16 stage, while at Nuremberg, she fell to #93 Putintseva in the first round.
Polish qualifier Magdalena Frech has secured her career’s first slam main draw win by defeating Ekaterina Alexandrova in a three-set encounter (6-3 3-6 6-3). Frech struck just 14 winners, but gifted with 64 unforced errors by the Russian during the match.
Frech made her slam main draw debut at the 2018 Australian Open as a qualifier but fell to #39 Suarez Navarro (7-5 6-3). The Pole, who is the winner of three lower-level ITF titles, heads into this match having never met a top 30 before.
Stephens should be able to ease past the 20-year-old as they meet for the first time. For the Pole, this week has already been a successful one as she is guaranteed a new career-high ranking above #120.
