Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Pablo Carreno Busta Tennis Prediction

Rio was one of the four semifinals Carreno Busta made on clay in 2017, and he managed to win two of them, including the recent one against David Ferrer in Estoril.
In this first-ever meeting between Pablo Carreno Busta and Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Spaniard will fancy his chances of making his seventh final at this level.

Stefanos Tsitsipas News

Stefanos Tsitsipas’ dream run in Barcelona continues as he registered yet another dominant win by knocking out the world #7 Dominic Thiem in straight sets, 6-3 6-2.
Earlier this week, the Greek teenager scored impressive and dominant wins over Corentin Moutet, Diego Schwartzman, and Albert Ramos Vinolas without dropping a set in any of those matches.
Having previously failed in the quarterfinal stages of Dubai and Doha, Stefanos Tsitsipas will now be playing his first semifinal of the season (on tour). He reached the semifinal at Quimper Challenger (in February) where he lost to Quentin Halys in three sets.
The Next Gen Star’s only previous top 10 win came against David Goffin in the quarterfinal of ATP Antwerp last season, but he lost the following semifinal match (only previous semifinal on tour) to Diego Schwartzman in straight sets.
Irrespective of the result in the semifinal, this is Tsitsipas’ best result in a tour-level clay event as progressing to the second round (as a qualifier) at the 2018 Monte Carlo Masters was his previous best.

Pablo Carreno Busta News

Pablo Carreno Busta defeated the world #5 Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets to advance into the semifinal of ATP Barcelona for the first time in his career (eight appearances).
The Spaniard, who could not progress beyond the round of 16 in his opening six tournaments of the season, will be making his consecutive semifinal appearance on Friday. Last month in Miami, Pablo Carreno Busta posted his best result of the season by reaching the semifinal (lost to Alexander Zverev).
While Tsitsipas is only the second player born in 1998 to make a semifinal appearance on tour, the first player to do it was Casper Ruud, who was beaten by none other than Pablo Carreno Busta in the semifinal of Rio de Janeiro in 2017.
