Viktor Troicki vs Rogerio Dutra Silva Tennis Prediction

These two players have never met before. Rogerio Dutra Silva is far more consistent in the recent months, and he’s probably the better player on clay as well, which makes him the favorite in this contest.

Viktor Troicki News

Viktor Troicki ended his six-match losing run by fighting back from a set deficit against Bernard Tomic in the first round of ATP Istanbul on Monday, 3-6 6-0 7-5.
In fact, the Serbian’s previous win came in the similar fashion as he fought back from a set down against Jan Lennard Struff in the first round of ATP Rotterdam in February 2018, 1-6 7-6 6-2. However, he lost the following match to Tomas Berdych in straight sets.
Only once this season, the former World #12 had managed to win back-to-back matches in a tournament when he defeated the out of form Ernests Gulbis and struggling Denis Istomin at ATP Sofia in February 2018.
The pressure is on Viktor Troicki here as he’s got the semifinal points to defend this week. Making his Istanbul debut in 2017, the Serbian registered three straight-set wins before losing to Milos Raonic in the semifinal.

Rogerio Dutra Silva News

Rogerio Dutra Silva, who won three matches as a qualifier at Barcelona last week, followed it up with a comfortable straight set win over Radu Albot in the first round of ATP Istanbul this week, 6-4 6-4.
Like Troicki, Dutra Silva made his Istanbul debut last season but failed in the second round, against Bernard Tomic, 5-7 3-6.
Nevertheless, the Brazilian has made by far the better start to the season than the Serbian, having made two consecutive quarterfinals at Sao Paulo (clay) and Santiago Challenger (clay). Moreover, he has already won ten matches more than Viktor Troicki in the first four months of the new season (15/10 vs. 5/10).
