After ATP and WTA “froze” the rankings due to the coronavirus pandemic, Darren Cahill (58 years), trainer Simona Halep (28 years), says it is normal for these weeks of competitive break to be included in Novak’s statistics Djokovic, respectively Ashleigh Barty, the leader of the rankings.

Novak Djokovic (32 years old) is the leader of the 281-week ATP standings, being just five weeks away from Pete Sampras’s record (48 years) and 29 weeks away from leader Roger Federer (38 years, 4th ATP).

Brad Gilbert (58 years old), Darren Cahill’s friend, believes that: “Federer’s fans will be upset, but Djokovic should be rewarded for the weeks when the ranking is frozen and he ranks 1st. He won this position.”

Cahill agrees with Gilbert’s idea

Darren Cahill is righting his friend, according to ziare.com: “This period should be counted in Djokovic’s favor because he would remain in first place until the next Grand Slam tournament. So does Ashleigh Barty. ”

Ashleigh Barty (23) is the WTA leader with 8717 points, followed by Simona Halep with 6076 points.
