Dusan Lajovic vs Feliciano Lopez Tennis Prediction

Feliciano Lopez leads the H2H 2-1 (1-0 on clay), but Dusan Lajovic won their recent meeting in the second round of Indian Wells in 2017. The Spaniard is the better player of these two, but his current form gives a decent chance for the Serbian in this contest.

Dusan Lajovic News

Dusan Lajovic defeated the wildcard entrant Pedro Martinez Portero, 6-4 6-7 6-3, in the first round on Monday to open his account in Barcelona. He has to overcome yet another Spaniard to avoid a second consecutive second-round exit (lost second round match in Monte Carlo).
Moreover, the Serbian entered four clay events in 2018 (before Barcelona) but could not progress beyond the second round in any of them. He will be hoping for a better result at ATP Barcelona this week.
Lajovic, who could not win back-to-back matches until the final week of March 2018, has now taken his season tally to 11 wins and nine losses (11/9), thanks to the Le Gosier Challenger (hard) title that he won earlier this month.

Feliciano Lopez News

Playing his first clay match of the season, Feliciano Lopez fought back from a set down to beat Benoit Paire before losing to Roberto Bautista Agut in the second round of Monte Carlo Masters last week.
The Spaniard has faced only two first-round defeats from the eight tournaments that he entered so far this season, against Jared Donaldson in Miami and Sam Querrey in the Australian Open.
Feliciano Lopez has appeared here 17 times in the past and making the quarterfinal twice in 2011, and 2012 is his best result in this event. He got a first-round bye and won the second round matches here in his recent three visits, in 2015 (Marsel Ilhan), 2016 (Ivan Dodig) and 2017 (Albert Montanes).
