Ever since Vesnina won at the Indian Wells, she has been under pressure to back up the Premier Mandatory title but the Russian failed to deliver results. For the remainder of the 2017 season, Vesnina could win more than one match in only four tournaments. She faces an uphill task next month to defend those 1000 points, failing which her rank will at least drop by half.
