Sugita vs Haase Tennis Preview

Welcome to our website. Here you will find the best tennis predictions of all the major championships that are analysed and studied by our experts so you can make consistent profit.
Their only previous meeting came in the second round of ATP Chennai in 2011 when Robin Haase fought back from a set down to defeat Yuichi Sugita. Though Sugita is generally more solid and consistent, Haase holds the slight edge in this first round clash considering their current form but anyone could win this evenly matched contest.

Yuichi Sugita News

Yuichi Sugita’s terrible start to the season continues as he suffered yet another first-round exit at Irving Challenger last week. Entering as the top seed, the World #43 lost his first round match to the eventual runner-up Matteo Berrettini in three sets, 3-6 6-1 7-6.
The first round exit at Irving came after suffering another disappointing R1 defeat at the hands of Horacio Zeballos in Indian Wells two weeks back. Sugita has so far faced five first-round exits from the seven tour events that he entered in 2018.
Worryingly, the Japanese won the first set in all his recent three matches but still ended up on the losing side, against Lucas Pouille at Dubai, Horacio Zeballos at the Indian Wells and Matteo Berrettini at Irving Challenger.
Yuichi Sugita failed in the qualifying stages of the Miami Open in his previous two appearances (2012 and 2016) but has earned a direct entry into the main draw this time around, thanks to his improved rankings.

Robin Haase News

Robin Haase will be playing his first match since losing to Malek Jaziri in the second round of Dubai on 28, February 2018 when he takes on Sugita this Wednesday.
The Dutchman has made a positive start to the season by progressing at least to the quarterfinal in three of the six tour events that he has played so far in 2018, at Pune, Auckland, and Rotterdam.
Robin Haase is one of the four players to have taken a set off the World #1 Roger Federer in 2018, 6-4 1-6 1-6 at Rotterdam (QF).
World #44 Robin Haase faced first-round exits in five of his previous eight appearances at the Miami Open, but he defeated Mikael Ymer in the first round here in 2017 before losing to Juan Martin Del Potro in the following round.
